A total body workout combining both strength and cardio drills, perfect for those looking to improve general fitness, agility, speed, power and strength, as well as improve muscle tone and/or slim down.

Bootcamp classes combine a wide variety of training methods to get you the best results:

RESISTANCE TRAINING
The key to developing strength and toning, at Barbreck Studio we use weights such kettlebells, barbells, medicine balls and resistance bands with your instructor on hand to teach and check technique. Resistance training also helps to maintain bone density, promote weight loss and improve your overall conditioning.

POWER DEVELOPMENT
We incorporate dynamic drills that will enhance your power as well as quickly raise your heart rate and help you develop quick reactions and better co-ordination. Drills may include explosive lifts such as jerk and snatch along with plyometrics ex skipping, hopping, agility drills, jumps etc.

CARDIO
Cardio drills are integrated into the class throughout, usually in the form of intervals and involve more than your traditional sprints and running. Classes might see you raise your heart rate through drills on the boxing bag, bodyweight exercises and partner drills.

CORE and STABILITY
Many of the exercises we do in bootcamp will strengthen and work your core muscles. Classes incorporate drills that will challenge your core to act dynamically, training it in a way that can help to prevent or rehab back injury. Many of our exercises also train and activate the glutes, another big player in back and knee pain. Training the core dynamically like this means you get more benefit in terms of strength, tone and joint stability.

FUN
One of the goals of Bungo Bootcamp is to make training fun. We aim to provide an energetic workout with plenty of variety and maybe even some friendly competition

DEVELOPMENTAL STRETCHING
All sessions start with general joint mobility and warm up and end with a cool down and stretch. The stretching session at the end will be tailored to be specific to you and the exercises in that days class so you see a benefit in recovery and flexibility.

SUITABLE FOR EVERYONE
Bungo bootcamp is suitable for all fitness and ability level, each exercise can be modified for your specific level. If you are just starting out then we don't expect you to be able to know every exercise or do every rep, work to your own ability and no-one else's to avoid jumping in too fast and picking up any unnecessary injuries.

COMFORTABLE SURROUNDINGS
In the colder months bootcamp is based inside at the studio, in nicer weather sessions will make use of the nearby park (Queens Park).

30min class using your own bodyweight for a challenging workout. Great for the core and all round strength!

60min class which focuses on building strength and power. Mixture of barbel lifts, kettlebell and bodyweight training. Learn and develop your skills in deadlift, squat, bench.
